Paid Marketing Internship position with the Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute!

Requirements: Student must be pursuing a marketing degree and have above a 3.0 GPA and be available to work 15-19 hours a week. The ideal candidate can begin work spring 2017, and with successful demonstration of a superior job performance, will continue to work with the Institute throughout their remaining college career (including a percentage of time during the summer semesters). 

Job Duties:

 

- Creates flyers and email announcements for events.

- Manages the departments’ social media accounts. Uses Hootesuite to schedule important Facebook and twitter announcements and articles.

- Updates the website with pictures, banners, event information, and applicable news articles

- Assists the Director in the editing and printing of documents.

-Assist Director in creating graphics for proposals and deliverables.

-Creates professional (Top Notch!) power point slides for speaking engagements.

-Takes photos at events. Organizes the photos and videos on the I drive.

-Edits photos and videos (if you have “down time” there is always photo editing and new graphics to be made- this position requires initiative to take on new projects but allows for you to use your imagination to create a library of useful images and graphics for the department.) 

-Experience with the Adobe sweep required (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Work stations are Mac computers.

 

Additional Duties: Running on-campus errands, checking the mail, and creating various Excel documents. Update financial reports. Organizing the filing, scanning, and copying of important paperwork. Assists in event set-up and break-down. Aid Faculty and student staff in various assignments.
