Bill Gates announces a $1 Billion Fund to research green technologies that will help reduce the carbon footprint. It is a Fund created by him and 20 other investors that is expected to last for 20 years. Gates emphasizes how imperative it is to focus on green technologies since emissions of carbon dioxide are expected to rise by one-third by 2040.
