INL Internship Opportunities
May 02, 2016 | posted by The Institute
This internship opportunity is open to students who have an interest in working at a DOE lab. INL internships, like the lab's research span a wide range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields and other important disciplines in business fields and operations.
Due to the large number of different internship projects and the varying time frames of availability for these projects, INL utilizes a single, generic application to fill all our intern openings. Through this application, students provide information about their degree program and related knowledge that our staff can then utilize to match them to internship projects as they become available from the mentors.
The benefit to the students in using this approach, is that they do not have apply to multiple internship projects nor do they run the risk of missing a project that was not posted at the time they had set aside for the INL application process. In addition, this process guarantees that the applicant is reviewed for every project related to their educational credentials.
Students who have a serious interest for this opening should contact the Director of Research Report, Jaclyn Shaw, for any further questions or concerns.
Note: You must complete this application in one sitting, as you will not have the opportunity to save a draft to submit at a later time. Please have the following information ready before you begin:
· Single document file that can be uploaded containing your resume, current unofficial transcripts and class schedule for the next semester not listed in your transcripts.
· E-mail addresses for three professional references (Professor references preferred).
· A paragraph describing how an INL internship aligns with your goals and interests.
· Plan at least 1 hour of uninterrupted time to complete the application.
