Dr. Wei Gao is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Before, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Wei Gao has broad research interests in the field of mechanics and materials, including exploiting advanced materials and devices for energy applications.
